Over at The Excerpt Mill I show a small snippet of a few decades old debate about whether the Philippines is semi-feudal and semi-capitalist or just semi-capitalist.

    This is really interesting stuff, even for someone like me whose knowledge of the Philippines is sketchy at best. I think I just love a good mode of production debate. I’m always arguing that Britain still has a semi-feudal superstructure…
