It is necessary to avoid posing the problem in “intellectualistic” rather than historico-political terms.  Naturally it is not disputed that intellectual “clairvoyance” of the terms of the struggle is indispensable.  But this clairvoyance is a political value only in as much as it becomes disseminated passion, and in as much as it is the premiss for a strong will.

Words of wisdom by Gramci, valid in 1922 just as valid in 2009 – my own words indeed! A revolutionary socialist genius!
I was planning to celebrate my 50th birthday in Sardinia this October. For some reason hotels and holiday resorts will be out of service in North Sardinia where I wanted to go. Still, with Gramci’s legacy raging in the minds of comrades like you, a visit to his home place can wait – because the war of his words, ideas and outstanding leadership continues! Thanks!
